Piracy Control & Copyright Protection
A critical role of PARI is to combat music piracy and protect the intellectual property rights of artists and producers in the Philippines. The organization collaborates with government agencies, law enforcement, and legal entities to enforce copyright laws and regulations. PARI conducts anti-piracy campaigns to educate the public about the detrimental effects of unauthorized copying and distribution of music. It also monitors and takes action against illicit activities, such as the production and sale of counterfeit CDs and the unauthorized online distribution of music.
