What is Soundsright?

Sound Recording Rights Society, Inc. PH (Soundsright PH) is a non-stock, non-profit organization established in November 2013 by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI, Inc.). Soundsright is an IPOPHL (Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines) accredited Collective Management Organization (CMO) authorised to issue licenses for the commercial use of sound recordings owned by our member record producers in the Philippines.Soundsright issues licenses for:

• Broadcasting, Communication, and Public Performance of copyright protected sound recordings;

• Mechanical Reproduction of sound recordings for digital storage.

A Soundsright PH license authorizes your business to use copyrighted sound recordings owned by our member record producers under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 8293).

The Soundsright member record labels and producers control majority of the sound recordings from various musical genres of local and foreign artists. Our vast repertoire would cater to all business types that would require the use of the sound recordings in their business operations. By way of licensing. Soundsright would grant authority to the business establishments to use the sound recordings and collect royalties on behalf of the copyright owners under section 209 of the IP Code.
